Partenkirchner
Hof - History!
Reindl's
Partenkirchner Hof
means hospitality and comfort with a familiar atmosphere in the heart of
Garmisch-Partenkirchen. |

 |
| |
In 1911 the main
building was built and was one of the most modern hotels, with an elevator
and running hot and cold water.
Where today the bar is situated, roulette was played and our restaurant was
a big dancing place for the afternoon tea.
1931 the family
Reindl bought the "Partenkirchner
Hof" and moved 1933 from Munich to
Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
1936 with the winter olympics,
Garmisch-Partenkirchen
and the Partenkirchner Hof
became famous. After that there was a long and
sorrowfull period. At first the nazis
took the hotel and used it as a hospital and after world war II.
the american military
took the Partenkirchner Hof
as their headquarter. (By the way, some amarican
people visited us the last years and told us they had been here after war!
We are very pleased for those visitors of former times!!)
In 1959 there was a celebration and family Reindl
could use the Partenkirchner
Hof as it was built for.
A luxury
hotel with a fine cuisine. |
| |
|
|
After
aprenticeship in the best restaurants and hotels
in Europe, son Karl Reindl and his wife
Bruni came back to
Garmisch-Partenkrichen in 1959, to lead the hotel together with his
mother. fter a short
time, the restaurant was wllknown to the
gourmets. he highlight was a star in the Guide
Michelin, wich was shining for 14 years in the
restaurant. The quality of the cuisine is the same as it was and the third
generation with daughter Marianne Holzinger
keeps it on a very high level.
All the time we
tried to make things better and fit it to the changing time and the desires
of our guests. What satyed the same is the
familiar atmosphere and cosines of the hotel. |
