looking at their hands. Our hands are subject to the greatest exposure of
the elements in everyday life and that’s why it is so important to look
after them. |
| |
|
| Let’s have a look
at your feet |

|
| Detoxification and
Purification |

|
| Different kinds of algae packs are the basis of
the classic Thalasso therapy. The intensive warmth of the packs enable
vitamins, minerals and trace elements found in the sea algae to be absorbed
by the body, which then tighten up and streamline as well as supplying your
body with all those lost minerals. |
|
|
| Face treatments

| Our beautician has a huge variety of different
face treatments for all skin types. She diagnoses your individual skin type
and compiles a special programme for your own personal needs, be it a
nurturing treatment or re-modelling with eyebrow corrections, deep skin
cleansing treatment or different methods of peeling. |
| Massages |
| Massage and Physiotherapy |

|
We really want to take good care of you.
Our therapists speak English, so that we can make sure that we take care of
you well. Our carefully chosen, well qualified masseurs, physiotherapists
and healing therapists are there to take care of those small and somewhat
larger aches and pains with expertise knowledge in a quiet, relaxing
atmosphere. |
| |
|
| Massage |
 |
| Classical massage is one of the oldest and most practised of
massage techniques. The actual word massage originally came from the Arabic
word “Mass” which means kneading and pressing. In ancient Chinese literature,
the art of massage is mentioned for the first time as a form of therapy.
Even Hippokrates describes massage as a possible therapy in the treatment of
certain ailments. It was from France that massage spread and became popular
in Europe. The French expression “Effleuragen” dealt with concepts such as
stroking, kneading and pounding and they are terms that we still use today.
Under the influence of Henrik Ling (1776 – 1839) who introduced specific
movements into massage, methods that were practised in France, later
developed into physiotherapy. |
| Massage is a therapy that treats skin, muscles, contractions
and tensions as well as scars and circulation complaints, by applying
distension, traction and press stimuli. The healing qualities of massage
influence mechanical, bio-mechanical, neuro-enhancement, physical and energy
effects and affect both the musculoskeletal system as well as the immune
system react positively to the treatment. The only therapy we implement
preceding physiotherapy is massage in combination with hot, cold, BGM or
music. |
| We can give you a full body massage or massage
therapy to different parts of the body such as spinal massage, massage to
the shoulder and neck, arm, leg, pelvic massage, stomach, chest, foot, face
and head massage. |
| |
|
| Reflex Zones of the Foot |
|
| This healing massage is based on the knowledge that the feet
are a scaled down version of the body and are divided up into many defined
zones that correspond with all of our organs, systems, tissue and blood
flows. The specific method of pressure on different parts of the sole of the
feet opens our energy channels through which energy can flow into all
different parts of our body. By applying reflex-zone massage, it is possible
to induce a release of tension and reduction of stress. In a relaxed state,
the body has the opportunity to heal itself. |
 |
| |
|
| Lymph Drainage |
 |
| A common problem after a long flight is water congestion in
the arms and legs and we know this to be a result of lymph fluid that has
collected in tissue that cannot be drained naturally. It is a complaint that
can also occur after operations or injury such as twisting your ankle when
walking for example. It is possible to drain this fluid manually via the
lymph nodes which distribute the excess fluid in tissue to the rest of the
body. There is a certain technique applied by the palm of the hand in a
circling and pumping movement with the aim of reducing swelling, releasing
excessive fluid and relieving the parts of the body affected. The treatment
is also found to be a preventative method which induces a state of
relaxation found to be most pleasant to the patient. |
| |
|
| Physiotherapy |
 |
Physiotherapy serves to cover many different kinds of
therapy methods designed to relieve a whole range of health dysfunctions,
especially in complaints of the musculoskeletal system, as well as therapy
of muscles, connective tissue, sinews and tendons.
Under the term physiotherapy such treatments as thermo-therapy,
chiro-therapy, electro-therapy, as well as different forms of massage,
motion therapy, training therapy, and the rehabilitation therapy for heart
disorders and even therapy in the treatment of psychological disorders are
included. |
| |
|
| Sport Physiotherapy |
 |
Sport physiotherapy is now accepted as an independent branch
of physiotherapy. Our methods are geared towards active people and sports
people who are going through a process of recovery and regeneration from
injuries brought about by injuries, or operations.
Due to the high demands of sport, it is important that our therapists have
additional training in the treatment methods of sports injuries and also
have personal experience in the physical demands made on sportspeople. This
includes supervision of those in competition sport and forms of therapy in
the case of muscle or tendon injuries, as well as special knowledge in the
application of dressings to help relieve pressure on injured areas. |
| |
|
| Manuel Therapy |
 |
| This concept begins with a thorough and comprehensive
examination into the status and cause of the dysfunction. It is important to
find out exactly what kind of injury we are dealing with and its exact
location in the affected joint, muscle or nerve. As well as
physiotherapeutic measures, it is also necessary to make use of passive
measures of manipulation of joints, extremities and spine |
| |
|
| Exercises to relieve back pain |
 |
| Exercise that you will learn in our special courses for back
complaints, are both preventative and rehabilitative. You can help to
minimise back pain with exercises that make the muscles in your stomach,
hips and thighs strong and flexible. Our courses offer theoretical as well
as practical advice on reduction or avoidance of back pain. On completion of
the course, participants are aware of the causes of back pain and how best
to avoid them, as well as learning how to react when problems arise. |
| Kinesiology / Meridian |
| Find the right balance and let
the energy flow |

|
| The rudiments of kinesiology are both simple and effective.
With the help of the bio-feedback method and reflection muscle testing,
individual blockages can be located and dissolved. Kinesiology is based on
the ancient Chinese teachings of acupuncture and the flow of energy to the
meridians. |
| In kinesiology, we are working with energy flows affecting
conscious and unconscious experiences, thoughts, feelings, and emotions of
the body as a whole. The impact that imbalances have on our health, such as
blockages and stress are located by testing methods of kinesiology. |
| Solutions to these problems are brought
about by the redistribution of energy flows which bring harmony and a
feeling of well being to body and mind. As a result, you will feel free and
relaxed and able to face up to the challenges of everyday life. |
| Thalasso/ baths |
| You will find that our trained therapists only work with
high quality products. The soft pack is a specially designed water bed in
which you will lie for 20 minutes. First of all though; your body will be
creamed with one of our Thalasso products which is especially deemed to be
suitable for you skin type. The ideal combination of Thalasso with the
temperature of the soft pack water bed brings about a particularly effective
absorption of minerals and trace elements. |

|
| |
|
| Further active ingredients are applied to the body via a
Vichy shower which you will enjoy at the end of the treatment. Pores are
thus opened which create ideal conditions for the absorption of positive
active agents and also release of negative ones. This can be achieved by
massaging water jets and in some cases by manual massage. |

|
| |
|
| Relax in the effervescence of our medicinal baths.
Ingredients are added according to your needs, whether it is stimulating,
relaxing, cleansing or soothing. Our team of therapists will bring about the
optimal effect, whatever your mood. |

| Hot Stone Massage |

|
| This is a rediscovered method of massage according to
ancient Asian practices which rely on the placing of warm stones on certain
parts of the body and massaging of Tibetan herb oils with healing qualities
into the skin. The result is a feeling of freshness, clarity and a complete
new feeling of well being. A special technique of massage complimented with
warm stones brings warmth deep into the tissue and stimulates the blood flow
to all parts of the body. The result of these sessions is harmony in both
body and mind, as your body’s own sources of energy are re-activated. |
| At first we begin by massaging your body with healing oils
and then up, to 40 rather hot stones are laid on certain places on your body.
At the same time, energy lines along your spine and down to the feet
indicating energy flows are marked with a brush dipped warm ayurveda oil. In
this case we use three of the Indian ayurveda oils with healing qualities
that compliment each other for the most effective therapy. |
| The stones are of the volcanic rock basalt that
has been heated in water for our Hot Stone Massage programme. We use
different sizes of these smooth, shiny rocks which are known to retain the
heat for longer periods. They are laid along the energy lines where the
massage effect is brought about by a form of thermotherapy which induces
warmth into the muscles. The warmth created by the stones increases the
blood flow and so greater amounts of oxygen are supplied to the cells and
tissue. Warm almond oil is rubbed over the rest of the body and when the
stones have served their purpose, they are removed one by one in a circular,
massaging motion. |
| |
