Holzkirchen, Weyarn or lrschenberg exit. From the A95 Autobahn, take the

| BY TRAIN. The closest German Railways (DB) stop is Munich’s main station (Hauptbahnhof). From there, trains of the Bayerische Oberlandbahn leave hourly for many destinations inside the region. The towns of Holzkirchen and Otterfing can also be reached via the Munich S-Bahn network. | |
| FROM MUNICH AIRPORT. One should plan approx. 2 hours for the trip from Munich’s Franz Josef Strauss Airport to a regional destination. From the airport, take either the Si or S8 line (S-Bahn) to Munich’s main station (Hauptbahnhof). From there, trains of the Bayerische Oberlandbahn leave hourly for many destinations inside the region. | |
| THE WENDELSTEINRINGLINIE BUS LINE. The busses of the Wendelsteinringlinie make three circuitous trips around Wendelstein Mountain each day. Additional busses are provided in winter to take passengers to the local ski areas. “Kurs A” busses depart from Bayrischzell and travel clockwise around Wendelstein Mountain. Kurs B” busses depart from Fischbachau and travel counterclockwise around the mountain. Passengers can exit at any stop (e.g., to go on a hike, head up the mountain or relax in a café) and then continue their journey in the same direction, or return to their original point of departure, on a later bus. | |
| ANRUFSAMMELTAXI (AST) - SHARED TAXI. The AST shared taxi system has served Miesbach County as part of the public transportation system since 2001. The purpose of AST is to help those locals and tourists without a car to conveniently reach all county areas. By calling the central AST office (Phone: +49 (0)8025 / 999982), passengers may order a taxi to pick them up on any day of the week at one of the approx. 1,740 stops within the county for direct transport to their desired destination. | |
